Can a fictional superhero inspire real-life people to contribute to the greater good of the world? Whoever says they can’t should watch Legends of the Knight, a documentary about individuals who were inspired by Batman. The film screens as courtesy of Southeast Psych, a Charlotte-based psychology practice whose workers also served as executive producers on the doc. Director Brett Culp and cast member Lenny Robinson — who frequently visits children’s hospitals dressed as Batman — will be in attendance and participate in a Q&A session to follow the screening. There will also be a vintage Batmobile at the event. Portions of all proceeds raised during the event go to The Council for Children’s Rights, Urban Ministry Center, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. (Anita Overcash)
