Miami Connection

When: Mon., Dec. 10, 7:30 p.m. 2012
Price: $5-$8
Anyone interested in a different take on Miami vice in the '80s should check out the Back Alley Film Series' screening of the action-packed 1987 opus Miami Connection. Virtually unseen since its initial release in just a handful of theaters, this effort stars real-life tae kwan do instructor and motivational speaker Y.K. Kim (who also co-directed, co-wrote and financed the film) as one of the members of the martial arts rock band Dragon Sound, who have taken it upon themselves to stop a local gang of drug-dealing, motorcycle-riding ninjas.
