The folks that make up North Carolina Dance Theatre don’t want you to just watch their latest show — they want you to be a part of it. The studio is transforming its usual seating into an open, club-like atmosphere, complete with a spread of tables and seats. Dancers transform into showgirls, prowling, dancing, and performing (some will sing and play instruments, too) cabaret-style. Six dancers have also choreographed special works for the program directed by Mark Diamond. This includes pieces set to tunes by Nina Simone, Elvis Presley, Prince and more. Proceeds raised from the event benefit NCDT. (Anita Overcash)
