It’s often surprising that a city that sells out so many country concerts hasn’t found more country stars of its own — do they all go to Nashville? Taylor Centers just might put Charlotte on the country map. The 18-year-old singer has the pipes to make it happen. While her music has been across the board from pop to rock to more soulful tunes, it’s country that seems to fit her style best — and what the local scene needs most. (Jeff Hahne)
