Despite what you might be thinking, you don’t have to be a race fan to attend NASCAR Rev’d Up, an annual event held in preparation of NASCAR’s Sprint All-Star Race. Of course, if you are that’s fine and dandy (and you’ll definitely be appreciating the featured appearances by NASCAR drivers, show cars and interactive displays), but the larger portion of the event is all about the music. This year’s fest includes three performers: Charlotte’s own successful pop act Paper Tongues (pictured) opens, with a performance to follow by pop/soul band Parachute and headlining alt-rock act Switchfoot.
