The Derek Trucks Band, masterminds in blending an array of music — from genres like blues-rock to soul and world-beat — will perform two nights in Charlotte at McGlohon Theatre. The group is geared up to play tunes from its upcoming album Already Free (set for release in January 2009). If you can’t wait for it, this show is calling for your attendance. Marvel guitarist Derek Trucks, who started playing music early in his life and never ceased (in playing or in creating crafty arrangements) is sure to blow your mind. Nov. 28-29. 8 p.m. McGlohon Theatre, 345 N. College St. 704-372-1000. www.blumenthalcenter.org.
