Going Gatsby for a good cause

Posted By on Thu, Aug 12, 2010 at 12:50 PM

Thanks to the Great Gatsby Gala — happening Saturday, Aug. 14, at 8 p.m. at The Atrium in Uptown — no time machine is necessary to step into the “roaring ’20s.” The flapper-friendly setting offers heavy hors d’oeuvres, desserts, alcohol (beer and wine), a cash bar, jazz music (by Tyrone Jefferson and A Sign of the Times), swing dancing, a costume contest and live and silent auctions. And if all that’s not enough to send you into a fox trot, proceeds raised from the event benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Mid-Atlantic Chapter. So put on that feather boa and prepare to swing for this good cause. Tickets are $75-$100.
