Best of Charlotte Voting

2017

It's voting time again for Creative Loafing's annual Best of Charlotte, folks.

And what a year it's been! This is Creative Loafing's special 30th Anniversary edition of the BOC, and that's a big deal for Charlotte. For a full three decades, several generations of Charlotteans have depended on CL to help scratch beneath the surface of the Q.C.'s arts, culture, food and music scenes. In edgy but honest criticism and a no-bullshit delivery, Creative Loafing has brought you the Charlotte that local mainstream media outlets either ignore or give tacit recognition to.

And we've ended every year by passing the mic to you, our print readers and digital users. It's your turn to decide what local artists, musicians, restaurants, clubs, and local leaders are truly the best this city has to offer.

Remember: in 2017, CL returned to a local-only mindset, so we hope you do the same when you fill out your Best of Charlotte ballots. Think locally: Don't let some chain restaurant win Best Mexican or Best Chinese over a great, locally owned joint. Vote for Charlotte's homegrown establishments, local artists, and local bands.

As always, the ballot is broken into sections (City Life, Arts & Entertainment, After Dark, Food & Drink and Consumer Culture).

Here are the rules:

1) You must fill out at least half of each section for your picks to count. If you feel like that's too much work, relax. You don't have to do it all at once; you have until midnight Sept. 25. Just don't want until the last day — if you need to give yourself a deadline, make it Sept. 24.

2) No ballot stuffing. Only one vote per reader and one entry per section. Submissions by ballot stuffers will be tossed out.

The 2017 Best of Charlotte issue hits stands Oct. 18, and our annual Best of Charlotte party is Oct. 20.

Remember: Voting for Best of Charlotte is like voting for the president — you can't complain if you don't do your duty.

Happy voting!
