The FireBird Singers will perform modern and traditional spirituals in free concerts June 26 in Charlotte and Concord, raising money for local charities.
The 14-member group of seasoned choral singers is devoted exclusively to a cappella (unaccompanied) music. Our interpretations promise to touch the soul with the deep emotional content of these songs.
The 7 p.m. concert at First Presbyterian Church in Concord will benefit the church's backpack program, providing healthy meals for students when they are outside school.
