UNC Charlotte kicks of their Annual Student Juried Art Exhibition with an award ceremony at Rowe galleries. The exhibit, open to all UNCC art students, includes painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, drawing, fiber, and 3D-printed materials. It will be on view through March 6. This years Distinguished juror is Lauren Harkey of Hodges Taylor Gallery.
“The works selected for awards display a creative use of media and/or a unique point of view,” Harkey says. “The submissions show a range of art practices - from students still finding their voice to those who have a clear sense of their practice.”
With subject matter ranging from the deeply personal to the playfully political, the exhibit is a testament to the instructors and integrity of UNCC's College of Arts & Architecture, Harkey concludes.
