Anthony Jeselnik

When: Sun., Sept. 29, 7 p.m. 2013
Price: $27.50
Veering into jerk territory with the majority of his jokes, stand-up comedian Anthony Jeselnik’s act is a jumble of sensitive, absurd and condescending material. He’s been known to attack victims of cancer, AIDS and miscarriage with his own self-absorbed, troubling views. But unlike some other comedians on the circuit today, Jeselnik strikes a chord with audiences on a kind of things-we-shouldn’t-laugh-at-but-can’t-help-it mindset. It’s either that or those beautiful eyes of his. Maybe both. Performing at roasts for douche Charlie Sheen and the nutty Roseanne Barr back in 2012, Jeselnik got his big break in 2013 with his sophomore album, Caligula, and his own late-night TV show, The Jeselnik Offensive. He’s not for the faint of heart, but for folks who can set their emotions aside before entering The Fillmore, he’s an excuse to be bad.
