Arts at the Abbey: Music for Flute and Harp

Sam Stowe, flute, joins harpist Hannah Blalock in Massenet’s Meditation from “Thais” and Sonata for Flute and Harp by Jean-Michel Damase. Blalock, a Gardner-Webb University student from Matthews, N.C. is a harp performance and church music major in the GWU School of Performing and Visual Arts. Hannah recently performed at the American String Teachers Association (ASTA) National Competition in New York City, one of only three finalists from over 400 submissions across the nation in the harp division. Also featured on the concert will be the Gardner-Webb Flute Ensemble.
