Beo String Quartet/The Difficulties
A musical mashup to end all musical mashups. The first set will be the Beo String Quartet doing its 21st century take on a tried-and-true classic, Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 10. The second set will be an even wilder ride with the Difficulties bringing in bass, sax, laptop and the kind of spoken word you’d hear in a ‘50s jazz coffeehouse but probably not a poetry slam. It’s part of the Charlotte New Music Festival, something that’s making the contemporary classical music in Charlotte a hell of a lot more interesting.
