Berberian Sound Studio

When: Thu., June 27 2013
Price: $5-$10
British actor Toby Jones may not be that well-known on this side of the Atlantic, but many of his characters are certainly famous. He played Truman Capote in Infamous, Karl Rove in W., Alfred Hitchcock in The Girl and Dobby the House Elf in the Harry Potter series. In this Back Alley Film Series offering, for which he won Best Actor honors from three separate British film organizations, his character is far more anonymous — he’s Gilderoy, an introverted sound engineer who accepts an assignment to work on an Italian gore flick in the 1970s. It’s a miserable experience, and the more time he spends working on the movie, the more he retreats into his own mind. The screening will be held at 7:30 p.m.; for more information, visit www.backalleyfilmseries.com.
