Taqueria VeraCruz at the Sweet Union Flea Market

Staff Pick

Visiting the Sweet Union Flea Market is like going to an open air market in a small Mexican village. The Taqueria VeraCruz truck (usually located near the highway) makes a mean barbecue lamb torta (sandwich) with slices of avocado and tomato, and sensational tacos — either flour or corn tortillas. On your way out, buy a bag of freshly fried churros (only $1) from another vendor. Open weekends only. 402 Highway 74 West, Monroe.
