Charlotte 1960s Rock & Roll Reunion f. The Good Bad & The Ugly, The Young Ages, Bobby Donaldson & The Ravens, Abbadons, The Mannish Boys

When: Fri., June 28 2013
THERE WAS A TIME: ROCK & ROLL IN THE 1960S IN CHARLOTTE, AND NORTH CAROLINA BOOK RELEASE PARTY Mannish Boys singer/guitarist Jacob Berger and Charlotte photographer/writer Daniel Coston have teamed up for a book that tells the story of the 1960s Charlotte, and regional, music scene. The book reads like a Q&A, with Coston and Berger providing narration behind the storytelling of a variety of area musicians including Don Dixon, Mitch Easter and members of Paragons, Grifs, Stowaways and more. So, what better way to celebrate the book’s release than with a concert by some of the bands discussed in the book? It’s a great chance to relive the old days of Charlotte’s rock scene or simply hear “how it used to be.” With The Good, Bad & The Ugly, The Young Ages, Bobby Donaldson & The Ravens, Abbadons and The Mannish Boys.
