Charlotte Asian Film Festival

When: Fri., March 23, 5:45 p.m., Sat., March 24, 12 p.m. and Sun., March 25, 11:45 a.m. 2018

This three-day film festival was added last year as a part of UNC Charlotte’s International Film Festival. It features full-length features, shorts and documentaries that aim to provide a window on various facets of Asian society and culture in the native lands and the diaspora. The festival kicks off with On the Beach at Night Alone [below], a film about a young Korean woman who’s given up everything over the belief that she loves a married man.
