The 2022 Charlotte Bach Festival concludes with two of Bach’s most resplendent and festive works — the Easter and Ascension Oratorios. The Bach Akademie Orchestra expands to its fullest number, including baroque trumpets and timpani. Our vocal forces will reach new heights as well joined by our newest ensemble, the Bachfest!Chor, featuring many of Charlotte’s finest singers. Just as Handel’s Dixit Dominus lit the spark for the festival’s opening, his brilliant Zadok the Priest (performed at every English coronation since 1727!) crowns our final performances alongside Bach’s masterpieces.
