The name is a little confusing (it’s not actually an awards show, but more of a parody), but the purpose is much-needed. The event, a new series going down on the first and third Tuesday of each month, is an open mic of sorts. Valencia, a longtime Charlottean and standup comedian, invites established and newbie comedians to share their stuff. This week’s guests include Adam Allred, Jay Stadler, Steve Brady, Matt Barrentine and more.
