CHARLOTTE CONCERT BAND- “MANY RIVERS: THE ROOTS OF JAZZ”
Come join the Charlotte Concert Band for a tour of the roots of jazz as the original American musical art form. Explore ragtime, Gospel, vaudeville, and the blues, along with many other styles that led to the establishment of jazz as the most important American musical contribution to the landscape of world music. The concert features several soloists and ends with a performance by the Charlotte Jazz Band. The Charlotte Concert Band and Jazz Band are performing arts ensembles in residence at Queens and have been committed to performing the highest level of entertaining and engaging musical repertoire for patrons.
