Charlotte Concert Band Summer Concert

When: Sat., June 24, 7-9:15 p.m. and Sun., July 30, 7-9:15 p.m. 2017

The Charlotte Concert Band will present a series of light classics, marches and music from Broadway. concerts are Saturday, June 24th and Sunday, July 30 at 7pm in Dana Auditorium on the campus of Queens University in Charlotte. The June 24th concert will feature trumpet soloist Richard Dill performing the ever-popular Carnival of Venice. Also included is Rossini’s “Barber of Seville Overture,” Slavonic Dances” of Dvorak, the little known “The Gliding Girl” by John Philip Sousa and Highlights from “The Music Man.” Dr. Bennett Lentczner, the band’s assistant director will conduct these summer concerts.
