Charlotte Conversation with Michael Twitty CL Recommends

When: Mon., Nov. 27, 6:30-8:30 p.m. 2017
Price: Free.

As a black, queer, Jewish man living in Washington, D.C., Michael Twitty is familiar with adversity. The culinary historian claims his ancestral roots through food while addressing race, class and Southern culture in his writing. Twitty has traced his roots to slaves in 1674 North Carolina, and he returns for a conversation before joining The Asbury for a Collaborative Series Dinner on Nov. 28.
