Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Board Meeting

The lease on the Midwood International and Cultural Center is up in June, and the tenants are pushing the school board to offer a new 10-year lease to establish stability. There are concerns CMS could choose to sell the property instead. MICC will be attending the March 13 school board meeting, however, and would like as much community support as possible. he MICC houses the following: International House, The Light Factory, The Japanese Association, Grameen Bank, Tom Hanchett of the New South, League of Women Voters, Julie Dean Voice Coach, Terry Thirion-Artist, ActionNC, and Mosaic Church. In addition to the permanent organizations that call MICC home, the gym space is open to the general community at a low cost.
