Christ Church Cathedral Choir of Oxford

The choir will be joined by 180 local singers. The program for the concert at Covenant Presbyterian Church includes showpieces of the English choral tradition by such composers as Ralph Vaughan Williams, Thomas Tallis, Henry Purcell and William Walton. In addition, in commemoration of Charlotte’s 2014 Ulysses Festival theme of the American Civil Rights Act of 1964, the choir will perform selected movements from British composer Michael Tippett’s Five Spirituals.
