Davidson alumnus Charles Wright '57, Poet Laureate of the United States, will deliver the annual Conarroe Lecture. Author of 24 poetry collections, two books of essays and three books of translations, Wright is regarded as one of America’s best poets. His awards include a Pulitzer Prize, a National Book Award, The National Book Critics Circle Award, and the Bollingen Prize.
