Indie-folk trio Daughter hails from England and offers music driven by ethereal instrumentation and singer Elena Tonra’s emotive vocals. The band’s 2013 debut, If You Leave, received plenty of accolades and the followup, 2015’s Not to Disappear, deserves just as much attention. It’s arthouse stuff without being pretentious. It’s in an easy-to-digest format that’s more like Explosions in the Sky than anything else.
