One of the biggest influences on alternative rock, this trio has been at it for more than three decades. The band has undergone lineup changes and a hiatus, but the original trio has been back together for 10 years and they’re back to their old ways. Singer/guitarist J Mascis is known as much for his whiny singing style as his loud-as-hell guitar work. The band recently released Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not.
