Envision & Empower: Individual Stories of Youth Transformation through Art & Music
Meet the students, see their work, and hear how art has changed young lives. From 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. you can mingle with the student artists. Then enjoy free docent tours of the museum and view portraits of Behailu Academy seniors by photographer Margaret Strickland. From 6:45 p.m. to 7 p.m., Senator Jeff Jackson shares his thoughts on arts education and from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., Behailu Academy presents student poetry, performances & stories. From 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., theres live jazz by Buff Dillard & cash bar.
