The Queen City may be known for its conservative suits and banker types, but if you hit up the right spots, you'll definitely stumble upon some classy fashionistas and stylish studs. Don't believe Charlotte has fashion in its belly? Then you should check out Charlotte North Carolina Fashion Week, an event for emerging designers, boutiques, models and fashion students to show off their designs and talent. In addition to the fabulous runway activity from local and national designers, there will be sponsor giveaways, live entertainment, and so much more.   • On Saturday, Oct. 21, hundreds gathered at Camp North End on Statesville Avenue for Charlotte's first black alternative music festival. We captured some of the bands in action on stage, but mostly we surveyed the grounds as fans, families, vendors and more lounged around the sprawling, colorful Camp North End site.
