"From the Back of the Line" is a documentary film that shares the voices and stories of mixed-status immigrant families, giving a glimpse inside the lives of Charlotte residents struggling to navigate the gaps in the current U.S. immigration system. The film aims to cultivate a better American landscape through diversity and build a greater depth of understanding within the Charlotte community. The filmmakers will introduce the documentary prior to the screening. A Q & A with the filmmakers and individuals whose stories are featured will follow and a reception will take place after the film.
