Furniture Refinishing: Stripping
Join us to discover techniques for determining the make up of your furniture's existing finish, how best to remove it, and pointers to help make the task easier.
You will need a small piece of furniture to strip for refinishing*, two pairs of gloves (gloves made specifically for stripping), a plastic putty knife or stripping tool. Safety glasses are recommended. Dress appropriately and bring a thirst quencher.
*Working indoors, the most powerful stripper we will use is Citristrip, which does not cut easily through multiple layers of old paint.
