Hardsoul Poets, The Feeds, Leisure McCorkle
Based out of Wingate, North Carolina, Hardsoul Poets built a solid following in the late ’80s and early ’90s leading to a record deal and a lineup and name change (Jolene). Earlier this year, the band reunited its members — John Crooke, Chris Michael, Brannon Helms, Mike Kenerly and Mike Mitschele — sparking new interest in the group and inspiring a new album — their first in 22 years — due in December.
