Haunted Summer, Avi Buffalo

When: Wed., Oct. 31, 7 p.m. 2018
Price: $8-10

Husband-and-wife John Seasons and Bridgette Moody have the perfect band name for a Halloween gig. The original “haunted summer” was a stormy season where Lord Byron, Percy Shelley and his betrothed Mary told ghost stories that spawned Mary’s novel Frankenstein. Like its uncanny inspiration, Haunted Summer makes music that is romantic, emotional and unsettling. Lush processed vocals, reverberating layered guitars and textured strings and synths make for languid tunes.
