Hozier, a shaggy Irish singer-songwriter, didn’t just pop up out of nowhere. He’s been simmering for a while, but has only recently become a major force on the American music scene thanks to the popularity of his single “Take Me to Church.” The song, which earned him a Grammy nomination for Song of the Year, has flooded airwaves.
