Evelyn Briggs has lived her entire life in Independence, Iowa; but keeping her daughters there is proving difficult. Her youngest, Sherry, is just waiting for graduation to move out, she hasn’t seen her oldest, Kess, in four years, and her middle daughter Jo is running out of patience. When Kess returns home to address concerns about Evelyn’s mental health, the women of the Briggs family find being under one roof is more than they can handle.
