This is a very busy period in your life. You probably have travel or education in your path. An issue of helping becomes emphasized. Your empathy extends once again to those needing your care. This month is the time to focus on how you want to direct the next year of your life.

For All Signs: This week's cosmic item is the 90 degree angle from Jupiter to Uranus. Classical astrology interprets this as a "sudden break for freedom." It sometimes brings unexpected opportunities for change, but we must use our best judgment on whether the change is favorable for the long haul. Many of us will be drawn to create change for its own sake, which may not be for the best. This particular cycle originated with the conjunction in February 1997, and events of the present time may represent the flowering of whatever was initiated then. The effects of this aspect do not have to occur this particular week, but may develop anytime throughout this three-month period.

Aries: Your attention will now be riveted upon career and life direction. Activity in the outer world picks up speed. Authorities and others may be challenging. Use this energy to improve your "product" or your presentation. Concentrate upon tact and diplomacy to gain cooperation of others.

Taurus: You have aspects that favor romance, the arts, and things of beauty. You may be the happy recipient of small gifts or favors from someone who cares about you. Your mind wants to wander in the world of fantasy, daydreams, good books and music.

Gemini: Travel is probably on the agenda over the next week or two. In some way you will be caring for the emotional or physical health of another. This may be an in-law or a grandchild. You and your partner are in a compatible groove. Activities related to the law, publishing or education are favored.

Cancer: The new moon in Capricorn on the 18th sets up a focus on the "others" in your life. You are particularly attuned to the feelings and needs of those who surround you now. There is an additional practical element to this mothering quality.

Leo: For the next month much of your attention will be on "others" in your life. Partnerships of any type are generally favored by this arrangement because you will be searching for the "fair" solution in any dilemma. It is a good time to seek consultation from professionals if you need it.

Virgo: Health issues are front and center, whether they be your own or that of another. You feel the need to sort files, closets, drawers or anything that will serve to organize the mind. Decorating your home or office space is on your agenda for the year, and now is a good time to make plans or initiate action.

Libra: Relationship circumstances are unusual at this time. Whomever attracts your attention calls out the caretaker/lover in you. In addition there is an element of intensity and honesty of sharing not usually expressed in your day-to-day life.

Scorpio: Changes may be occurring in your primary relationship. This is necessary in order to prevent the situation from becoming stale. Look for creative solutions if there is conflict. Mars will be in your third house for the next six weeks: Use caution while driving because your accelerator foot may be heavy.

Sagittarius: You are restless and want to do anything except the usual routine. Some of you will be looking for a new house, car or an exciting high tech device. Your eyes may be bigger than your pocketbook, especially if someone offers you a "deal."

Capricorn: Mars, the red planet of war, enters your sign this week and will be traveling with you until the end of February. This energy is best used to handle physically heavy projects or take challenging initiatives. If you are fatigued, it may present you with a cold. Handle love life and finances with a practical eye.

Pisces: Read the lead paragraph with care because Uranus is in your sign and gives you an itchy trigger finger. However, it might also give you a special career opportunity. You may be called into service to help a loved one this week. Your heart is full and your spirit generous.
