The JAZZ ROOM presents Grammy-nominated vocalist René Marie with an evening of musical compositions rooted in the traditions of jazz leading ladies, uniquely exploring the corners of the human spirit. René Marie is a recognizable, fairly unpredictable jazz vocalist who can embody the quirky and playful of Betty Carter one minute, and the bluesy or soulful of Dinah Washington and Sarah Vaughn the next. Beginning her career after age 40, she infuses life experience in her music, supported by a fresh, strong and vibrant sound. $20 advance. $25 at the door.
