Jim Breuer

When: Mon., Dec. 2, 8 p.m. 2013
Price: $25
The reasons behind Jim Breuer’s constantly hazy and bloodshot eyes may not be clear, but they undoubtedly have become the stand-up comedian’s trademark through various roles in television and film. His notoriety comes in large part from his uncanny Joe Pesci impression and the “goat boy” character he portrayed on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. But stoner film fans know him best as the lovable yet moronic character Brian from Half Baked. As Dave Chappelle’s sidekick, he played the role of the perpetually spaced-out hippie constantly toking up with the rest of the cast. Breuer found success in television and film in the ’90s but he has since returned to stand-up, where he originally started out during his college days. Breuer performs at The Comedy Zone on Dec. 2. Here’s to hoping he is still just as wacky and unusual as he was back in his glory daze. (Laura Rathbone)
