How will Jo Koy live up to the name of his “Break the Mold” tour? By not getting political. Koy finds political humor in the Trump era too easy. “I get involved in the political, but I don’t bring it to the stage,” he recently told The San Francisco Chronicle. “I love relatable humor.” That means taking the piss out of family life with universal jokes about dear old mom — just in his case, a Filipino American mom. “We all have the same mom,” he said, “it’s just that ours has an accent.”
