You think they don’t make music like they used to? Go see Lee Fields. The North Carolina native released his first album in 1969 and was “rediscovered” in the 1990s but has been seeing a resurgence of popularity in the last decade, hitting a fever pitch after 2012’s Faithful Man. This year’s Emma Jean continues Fields’ smooth soul style. He not only gives it his all vocally, he’ll cut a little rug while doing it. (Jeff Hahne)
