The sweeping story of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina, their journey, their struggles and their true role in American history will be described by historian Malinda Maynor Lowery, a Lumbee and author of The Lumbee Indians: An American Struggle, on December 4th at UNC Charlotte.
The event is open to the public, but reservations are requested as space is limited.
Visitor parking is available for a minimal fee in the Cone parking deck and East 1.
It will be held in the Halton Reading Room of the J. Murrey Atkins Library on UNC Charlotte’s main campus.
