Filmmaker Ali Selim, Visiting McGee Scholar in Residence this semester, deliver a talk titled“You’re Right.” Selim is the director of the 2005 period drama Sweet Land, as well as numerous television commercials and episodes for television dramas. Described as a poet, a romantic, a hippie and a rebel, Selim will discuss the ways filmmaking has allowed him to pursue his distinctive voice and break rules.
