This statewide drag competition picks an N.C. representative to go on to the Miss Gay America Pageant in the fall. Last year’s winner, Eden Parque Divine, will be honored and she’s chosen the pageant’s theme: Garden of Eden. Contestants must devise a costume that embodies the theme — their interpretation of wild and lush foliage, with hopefully no bush. They have to be able to move about in their get-up without wheels and no snakes are allowed.
