A free lunchtime concert, “Gospels, Spirituals and Classics,” honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at noon on Monday, January 18, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church. The concert features music based on the words of Dr. King, as well as poetry by Harlem Renaissance poet Langston Hughes. Performing will be soprano Helen Goldsby, David Gilliland on piano and Chris Fensom on trumpet. The concert is part of the monthly Center City Concerts at St. Peter’s series. Free parking with validation is located in the TransAmerica parking deck across Seventh Street.
