It’s been nearly 20 years since this Washington-based indie-rock outfit released its debut album, This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About. While only two original members remain, the songs stay on the same path as always — upbeat tunes that have been able to gain indie cred while still finding a hint of mainstream success without the masses shouting “sell-out.” Its sixth album, Strangers to Ourselves, came eight years after its fifth release.
