Mount Holly European Style Lantern Parade
The Mount Holly Community Development Foundation has sponsored bringing artist Olive Stack from Listowel, Ireland to Mount Holly to teach traditional lantern making workshops to area school teachers and artists. The parade route will begin at Ida Rankin Elementary School and continue down West Central Avenue, turn right on South Main Street, and end at the newly christened permanent trellis system for the Mount Holly Farmer’s Market. The parade will be led by members of the official drumline of the Panthers, PurrCussion. Kathleen Doody of Toronto, Canada will be on hand to judge the lanterns for the prizes.
