Saturday, September 7th is National Acorn Squash Day at the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market (1801 Yorkmont Road, Charlotte, NC 28217). Our produce vendors will be passing out free acorn squash recipes that highlight how versatile this vegetable is. Most people think of yellow crookneck, butternut, zucchini or spaghetti squash when it comes to squashes. Acorn squash is a great winter squash that truly deserves its own day.
