Niki de Saint Phalle et Jean Tinguely – Les Bonnie and Clyde de l’art
You can't miss seeing Swiss artist Niki de Saint Phalle's massive "Firebird," which guards the entrance to Bechtler Museum of Modern Art. The museum's Artistic Relationships: Partners, Mentors and Lovers shares more insight into Phalle's creative process and her marriage to fellow artist Jean Tinguely. The couple, dubbed "The Bonnie and Clyde of Art" is followed closer in Niki de Saint Phalle et Jean Tinguely: Les Bonnie and Clyde de l’art. The documentary, chronicling the collaborations - both creative and personal - of the artistic couple, will be screened at the Bechtler. Cash bar and free light appetizers. The event reception begins at 6 p.m. in the Bechtler lobby and is followed by the presentation and film screening at 7 p.m.
