Professional bicycle racing returns to the streets of Center City Charlotte (Tryon/Trade). The Amateur Shootout Race begins at 5 pm with the Women's Professional Bicycle Race starting at 6 pm. The Men's Professional Bicycle Race starts at 7:30 pm. This event is FREE and fun and exciting for all ages! Spectators can watch up close along the 1.25 mile race course, while some of the world's top men and women cyclists take the sharp corners of the downtown streets shoulder to shoulder at high rates of speeds. These races benefit the Brain Tumor Fund of the Carolinas.
