Novant Health Presents Family First: The Intersection; A Conversation About Hip Hop Culture & Education with JAHI of PE 2.0

The Intersection explores the relationship between Hip Hop and education. Utilizing a variety of media tools in this interactive workshop, JAHI will begin with a performance, then demonstrate how to blend culturally responsive, family-friendly and life-affirming elements of Hip Hop culture in the community, the classroom and your home. As an added bonus, Kia O. Moore, of local non-profit Digi-Bridge, will lead participants in learning the basic fundamentals of pulse, beat and composition to create unique and distinctly mixed songs of their own.
